CIL Paint and Home Depot Canada have joined forces to create an incredible Colour Centre space out of two 20′ shipping containers. They approached Giant earlier in 2016 to help us bring their vision for a mobile, enclosed space that could emphasize the beautiful design accents and colours their CIL Premium Paint is known for, and we were more than up for the challenge!

We did a custom 20’ shipping container to The Happy Hippie Foundation, a Los Angeles-based nonprofit organization founded by Miley Cyrus. The container was revealed at an event at My Friend’s Place, a community centre on Hollywood Boulevard that serves homeless and at-risk youth in the L.A. area.
Happy Hippie opened the doors of the container, which was custom wrapped in the foundation’s signature rainbow accents, to reveal donated items from Bombas Socks, Citypak, CVS, MAC Cosmetics and more to hand out all day. Basic needs items and cold weather gear were also provided, along with a warm meal from My Friend’s Place.

We have constructed a custom sales space out of seven shipping containers for Cabin, Toronto’s hot new boutique condo. Located in the bohemian West Queen West neighbourhood, the custom-built sales structure was built to replicate Cabin’s stacked architectural cues and echo its rustic Muskoka-inspired coziness.
Partnering with Toronto-based interior design firm Mason Studio, the sales space interior is outfitted with Cabin’s floorplans and design finishes, utilizing wood, stone and modern furniture stylings to create a feeling reminiscent of a wintry northern lodge.
Cabin is an intimate, boutique building, housing 25 two-storey homes with living spaces on their lower floors and bedrooms upstairs by Curated Properties. All homes showcase outdoor space for casual entertaining: yards, private rooftop gardens, mid-building terraces with expansive city views. Cabin’s exterior is clad in dark metal panels and wood, a materials pairing reminiscent of the rural getaway lodge.
In January 2016, Curated Properties’s Cabin was profiled by Dave LeBlanc for The Globe and Mail.

Giant Container Services is proud to work with Wasdell Falls Hydro Power Project to create this modified container office. Made out of three highly durable cargo containers – this structure will stand the test of time.
Background: Wasdell Falls Hydro Power Project
Over the past decade, Canadian and French researchers with support from the Canadian Government, developed the VLHTM (Very Low Head) turbine designed specifically for installation into existing civil structures and by-pass channels. This minimizes infrastructure costs, time for regulatory approvals, the time for construction and low environmental impacts compared to conventional hydropower projects.
There are approximately 30 VLHTM hydro plants, designed for water level drops of less than 5 meters, now operating in Europe that have shown to be a reliable, economic alternative to conventional hydro technologies. Canada has not yet capitalized on this clean power generation opportunity along with the social and economic benefits associated with this technology.
Giant is honored to work with UPS and Ferrari on this modified shipping container podium. This project served as the centrepiece for events during the 2015 Grand Prix Montreal.
